Study Predicts Surge in Bitcoin and Crypto ETFs by 2025
A recent study conducted by Charles Schwab reveals that investors are increasingly eyeing Bitcoin and crypto ETFs for their portfolios. According to the survey, which included over 2,200 participants from various generations, a significant portion of Millennials (62%), Gen Xers (44%), and Boomers (15%) plan to invest in these digital assets by 2025. The popularity of crypto ETFs is evident as they rank second with a preference rate of 45%, just behind U.S. Equity at 55%. Notably, investment giants like BlackRock and Fidelity have already purchased approximately $18.6 billion worth of Bitcoin since January for their clients.
The interest isn't limited to Bitcoin alone; Ethereum-based products also see steady growth despite some setbacks such as Grayscale's ETF experiencing net losses amounting to $546 million due to sell-offs not being offset by inflows. Meanwhile, there's speculation about XRP potentially launching its own Exchange Traded Funds soon following applications submitted by Bitwise and Canary Capital. Ethereum vs Solana: A Comparative Analysis
An analysis led by Geoff Kendrick from Standard Chartered Bank highlights Ethereum’s advantageous position compared to Solana based on several valuation metrics. Despite trading within a narrow range between $2300-$2350 recently, Ethereum outperforms Solana significantly when it comes down to market cap versus network fees ratio—121 against Solana's staggering figure of over double that number—and developer engagement where ETH hosts nearly four times more developers than SOL.
Kendrick notes that while current prices reflect optimistic expectations for Solana under certain political scenarios like Trump's potential election victory boosting SOL performance above ETH or BTC levels; conversely if Kamala Harris wins presidency then SOL might lag behind major cryptocurrencies according to predictions adjusted downwardly. He projects new highs around either $7000 or even up to potentially reaching ten thousand dollars depending upon electoral outcomes by year-end.
