The Degen Chain, an Ethereum Layer-3 network, recently set a new record for transactions per second (TPS), achieving an impressive 37.12 TPS. This marks a significant improvement over its previous Layer-2 counterpart, Base, which recorded a TPS of 30.81. Despite the high transaction speed, however, the trading volume remains relatively low at about $788,813 in the same period compared to other blockchains such as Ethereum itself or its Layer-1 competitors.

Ethereum Could Yield Validators Up to a Billion USD in Profits
According to forecasts, the Ethereum network could generate more than one billion U.S. dollars in profits for its operators – the validators – in 2024.
